Two days consultation meeting for Human Rights Situation in Puntland organized by PUNSAA and Office of Puntland Human Rights Defender started on 22 March, 2018 and ended on 23 March, 2018. The purpose of this consultation meeting was to discuss deeply the Human Rights Situation in Puntland.

The participants of workshop were 35 members from the different human right stakeholders including representatives from the Office of Puntland Human Rights Defender, together with members from civil society organisations. During this consultation meeting the participants were shared the latest report (2016/2017) on the Puntland human rights situation by the Office of Puntland human rights defender and given a chance to raise concerns and questions that focus on Human right issues, the chairman of the Puntland human right defender answered all raised questions related to the current human right situation in puntland.

The consultation meeting ended with success and the participants were suggested valuable recommendations that can improve the Human rights situation in Puntland.

PUNSAA organised 3 days consultation meeting for Human Rights stakeholders by PUNSAA human right TWG starting from14 to 16 August,2016. the purpose of this consultation meeting was to discuss deeply the situation of human rights in puntland, the participants of workshop were 50 members from the different human rights stakeholders including government institutions such as office for human rights defender, legal aid centres, courts, officers from various Somalia prisons including Kismayo, Mogdisho,Baydhabo,Garowe etc together with members from civil society organisations. During the discussion the participants were actively participated and raised their concerns about the issue and recommended possible solutions.
